Heike Mertins is the Chief Innovator at Idea Alternatives.

For the past 20 years Heike has worked in the areas of sales generation, marketing, project management, program and event development,and market research. Today, she uses the skills she gained from these experiences to develop and implement strategies that take businesses, organizations and individuals to the next level. Recently, she has become involved with exploring how technology, socially responsible businesses and social entrepreneurship can be utilized to impact and effect system's change. Heike is an expert in structure and strategy who thrives on introducing new and innovative ideas to solve old problems.

Heike's master’s degree thesis taught her the importance of developing stable sustainable foundations in order to achieve real long term growth. This understanding is exemplified in her commitment to ensuring that those she teaches and works with actually implement sustainable growth strategies. The material she presents, and the manuals, forms and take-away information she provides to course participants and clients all reinforce her belief that building a strong foundation is the starting point of producing strong results.
